Electronic Reciprocal Transfer System

Electronic Reciprocal Transfer System (ERTS) is a Web based online secure benefits data transfer system used to move members' hours and benefit monies to the members' selected and approved benefit funds for work performed outside their home Local Union jurisdiction. Members can rest assure that their benefit monies will efficiently, accurately, and securely get to their desired funds with the use of data encryption for data transfer and access control for access to data.

This system allows the funds to simply and quickly load the members' data and transfer the information including the monies to the members' approved choice of funds so that their benefits are maintain. The system performs validation on users accessing the system and the data for errors before transmittal. Fund administrators can communicate securely with all parties in the system to resolve all problems with members' benefits.

The ERTS system is built on current Web technology standards such as HTML, JAVA, JavaScript, and CSS to meet industry standards for application security and reliability. The platform includes the leading relational database product on the market for database servers, Oracle RDBMS, as the backend database solution that currently supports several Gigabytes of ERTS data and meets HIPAA requirements for protecting members' personal information.

The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) and the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers (BAC) currently use ERTS.
